Hi

I have two lists of numbers, one in column A which has 3000 odd entries, the other in column B with approx 1000 enrtries which were randomly selected from the list in column A. I am looking for a way of showing what numbers appear in both columns which will then allow me to see what numbers only appear once.

Any help is appreciated.

Try using conditional formatting to change the colours of all duplicate cells.

.

Select column A. Format > Conditional Formatting. Select Formula Is. Enter the formula

=COUNTIF(B:B,A1)>0

Set your format (e.g. colour cells red) and OK your way out.
