Excel query

I've used excel a lot in the past, but now I want to do something and can't for the life of me remember how to do it.

In column A I want to enter a list of numbers from 1 to 900 odd, is there an easy way of automatically using excel to number the rows as in
3 etc. etc.

It's probably very simple, but I just can't fathom it out.
Many thanks

Yes enter 1 and 2 in the first 2 cells. Hihlight the cells and then the cursor to the bottom right corner and turns into a black cross. Now right click and drag down the columns.

I was typing too fast to beat VoG™ and look what happens! Hopefully you get the idea!

Left click and drag down the column.
