Sorry folks if this is not the correct area to be in. Can any one tell me how to password protect a file in Excel. I want to force a password to be used before a file can be opened but can't find out how to do it. Thanks in expectation.

Mike,

To protect the file create then 'save as', select options, password to open or/and modify.

Do not forget the password.

Cheers,

Bryan
