Excel. More than three items in conditional forma

I have five items in a column in Excel. I would like each to have a different conditional format. Excel seems to only allow three. Anyone know how to get more?

Can be done with vba - no doubt, but I'd have to play about with it for a while to get the results you need

I'll bump this for VoG, he'll sort it in a jiffy !

You can actually get 4 if you count the default condition as one of them. If you need more then you need to use some code. Here is an example click here

Thank you Vog

Followed the link. More than time I got into code - so thanks for the signpost!! I will have a go this weekend but looks good. For interest I need about seven, All numbers - as people type in the number I want it to be a different colour. The code looks likely to solve it . Will report back later.
