Hi,

Can anyone help me out with this?

I have a data spreadsheet (23493 rows & 13 rows) containing duplications of numbers in the 11th column which I want to extract. I have sorted and used functions to identify the duplications and now I wish to extract data in column B from the list based on the duplications in column C. I tried using the IF statement:
=IF(C1=C2,B1,"")

but when I use it on this sample data set for example:

A B C
1998 1300000297 RC15811900008744 002
1998 6300000363 RC15811900008744 002
1998 1300000229 RC15811900008744 002
1998 1300000394 RC15811900008744 002
1998 1300000298 RC15811900008745 002
1998 6300000364 RC15811900008745 002
1998 1300000230 RC15811900008745 002
1998 1300000395 RC15811900008745 002

it does not include the first of the duplicated numbers i.e.

1300000297 RC15811900008744 002
6300000363 RC15811900008744 002 1300000297
1300000229 RC15811900008744 002 6300000363
1300000394 RC15811900008744 002 1300000229
1300000298 RC15811900008745 002
6300000364 RC15811900008745 002 1300000298
1300000230 RC15811900008745 002 6300000364
1300000395 RC15811900008745 002 1300000230

I'd like for all the data in B to show for the entire list of duplications.

I really hope the 'copy & paste' I have done comes out in the right format and also that I have somehow managed to make myself understood...

Thanks for all your help.

Regards

If I understand what you want to do correctly, don't re-invent the wheel. Go to click here and download and install the free Excel add-in ASAPUtilities.

On the ASAPUtilities menu select Columns/Rows and them Conditional row and column select, hide or delete. Under Search options select Duplicate values.
