I thought I knew most things about Excel, but this one has me stumped.

I want to extract the comments from one cell and paste them as text into another, preferably using a range operation or formula. The important point is that I want the result to be plain text in a cell, not just a pasted comment.

Any ideas ?

MS Excel 2000/ Win 2000.

Not sure exactly what you mean. Is the text inserted in a comment box attached to a cell or simply text typed into the cell? I assume you want to duplicate the text in another cell anyway.
