Hope this is the right place to ask.
I want to enter one time in colum a another in colum b and the want the difference calculated in column c, any help please?

With earliest time in A1, latest time in B1, in C1 enter

=B1-A1

And format C1 as Time. If the time differences could exceed 24h then use a Custom format [h]:mm

If you want the result in fractions of an hour rather then hours and minutes then in column D type

=HOUR(C1)+(MINUTE(C1)/60)

If time a is 12:00 and time b is 11:50 how can I show it as 10 mins and not 23:50

Put the earlier time in the other side of the formula.
