Using Excel spreadsheet, is there a way of entering a date of birth in one cell for the program to automatically calculate a person's age in another cell, perhaps using the PC date for the clculation?

Just years and months, or rounded to a decimal of their age (29.5 etc)

Use DATEDIF click here

Here's an example

=DATEDIF(C8,D8,"y")&"Years " &DATEDIF(C8,D8,"ym")&"Months "& DATEDIF(C8,D8,"md")&"Days"

c8 has the start date and d8 would be Today()

Have fun

In Cell A1 enter todays date 8/3/2005
In Cell A2 enter birth date 10/9/1919

(the zero's before the 8, 3 and 9 will automatically be inserted).

Right click on A3 and Format Cell as Number

In Cell A3 enter =SUM(A1-A2)/365.25

The answer will show as 85.49

I use 365.25 to take leap years into account.

If you believe in simplicity, you don't need "SUM" in your formula ;o)

I could say it was a typo VoG™ but I don't think you would let me get away with that. [o/
