Excel Formatting Problem

I have an excel sheet that contains either one number or multiple numbers seperated by a space. All the numbers have a space after them,
e.g. 67(space) or 34(space)68(space)

What I need to know is there an easy way to format the cells so that only the first number is left without the space in each row.

Regards

Andrew

I don't know how to do that by formatting the cell but you can extract those numbers into a spare cell using a formula like

=IF(LEN(A1)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A1," ",""))=1,TRIM(A1),MID(A1,1,LEN(A1)-FIND(" ",A1)))+0
