Each time I start my computer I get the error message: 'Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something... Please tell Microsoft about this problem etc' With the option to 'SEND' 'DONT SEND'
Anyone able to help me get rid of this message.
OS is XP Pro SP2.

Start, Run, type in

msconfig

and click OK. On the Startup tab untick Excel.

Thanks for your response VoG, (read your submission to the forum profile by PJ123, thought you might respond), unfortunately Excel does not appear in the list. The message is in a message box if that helps you to understand the problem. When I first saw it, months ago, I pressed the send button to inform Microsoft assuming it would go away but it hasn't.
