Excel Conundrum

  ericmax 16:57 06 Oct 05

A spreadsheet I do at work has in one column all our cordinators computer login initials. One of our new coordinators has the initials ACN, every time you put ACN in a cell and move on it changes to CAN. I have tried this on my home PC as well and the results are the same. What am I missing here.
Any ideas wellcome.

ACN is listed in AutoCorect (Tools, AutoCorect Options). You can either untick 'Replace text as you type' which will disable it altogether or you can just delete ACN from the list.

There are some strange anomolies like this with Excel. I used to know someone whose surname was Alway and this automatically changes to Always when you move from the cell. Never figured out why.
