Is there a way to force excel to capitalise text in certain cell?

I know how to convert text to capitals if that is what you want.
Click on the cell you want Caps in then
you search through the functions for "UPPER"
press enter.

anything enterd in lower case will convert to caps.
You can also do the reverse by serching for "LOWER". this will convert caps to lower case

You could format the cell to Text and use a font that is capitals only such as "Copperplate Gothic Light". The Preview area in the Fonts dialogue shows an example of the selected font so you can find a suitable one.

If "my text" is in A1

then in B1

=PROPER(A1)

results in B1 "My Text"

Assume that the cell that you want to be in uppercase is A1. Right click the sheet tab, select View Code. Delete whatever is shown and enter the following:

Private Sub worksheet_change(ByVal target As Excel.Range)

If target.Address = "$A$1" Then

target.Value = UCase(target.Value)

End If

End Sub
