# Excel calculation for eBay

Help please on an Excel formula for eBay listings. I want to calculate the charges made by eBay. The first £29.99 of a sale is charged at 5.25% of the amount and anything £30 or over has a charge of 3.25%. So if an amount is £50, I need to find out 5.25% of £29.99 then 3.25% of £20.01. I have a clumsy formula that calculates two amounts in separate cells: how much below £30*5.25% and how much over £30*3.25%. Then from those two calculations, it finally adds them together. I'd tried a nested IF but it didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks. Neill

=IF(A1<=29.99,A1*5.25%,5.25%*29.99+3.25%*(A1-29.99))
