Excel 2003 Problem

Ok here is the problem: I am uding this basic IF statement: =IF(I9 =10, "Order","Ok"),where I9 is a total. What function would I use to get the spreadsheet to automatically insert the current date when the above formula changes from Ok to Order, or when it changes from Order to Ok to display nothing. Am I asking the impossible here?

Thanks in advance...

=IF(I9=10,TODAY(),"")

and format the cell with that formula as Date.

I have seen you work your magic in here before VOG, and I am ultimately greatful, no long night here at work, wahey. Do you have any good excel reference sites? I need to refresh from my uni days?

Thankyou for you quick response.

for a few. Peter Noneley's Excel Function Dictionary is no longer available to download but if you would like a copy send me a message via my yellow envelope. It is a workbook with examples of most worksheet functions that you are ever likely to need.

May I also contact you via your yellow envelope for a copy of this?

Many thanks
