Excel 2000 Data Validation Input Message Boxes

  daba 23:50 31 Mar 03

Normally, (if you don't use clipit or other actor), the Data Validation Input Message Box sits neatly just below (or above, or to either side), of the selected cell. Each message box appears relative to the cell that is selected.

Normally, I said. If you drag it away to another part of the screen however, then that is where all your DV Input Messages appear, even for different cells with different DV rules.

Change to another sheet, and back again, the problem is still there.

I'd like it to lock back somehow to the selected cell, does anyone have a clue how to make it do so.

save and close the workbook then re-open, it will be reset.

I can't see any way to reset it within excel itself

me neither, cherria.

closing and re-opening is not a workable solution in this instance.

thanks anyway.
