hi can any one help me with a evesham laptop i need a recovery disc for my laptop i tried to contact evesham direct but no joy any ideas where i can one from thank you

Evesham went under some years ago. Assuming it's XP and the sticker is still on the case, you just need to borrow a CD from someone. If stuck, they are regularly for sale on ebay.

it is vista home basic iv tried loading and i get athis message this computers hardware may not support booting to this disc,ensure that the disc,s controller is enabled in the computers bios menu,any advice will help me thank you

You could try tapping F8 on boot up. That may get you to a recovery option (if Vista was pre-loaded into a recovery partition).

the hard drive been formated it was full ov trojens ,i bought if for my daughter ,gutted now tho ,thank you anyway

P.S. If no recovery partition (and it may be F12 or some other key) the advice for XP applies, except you'll need a Vista disc from mate or ebay.

Did the Evesham come with any drivers on a disc (floppy even)? I suspect that you don't have a driver installed to run the drive to read the Vista disc.
