This is not urgent but I wonder if anyone know why I get this error message in event viewer (running XP pro) on every boot up?:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: EventSystem
Event Category: (50)
Event ID: 4609
Date: 31/07/2003
Time: 16:34:56
User: N/A
Computer: HOME-M09PGMZGQ0
Description:

If everything is working OK, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Remember that the Event Log records everything that goes on in your machine.

When I boot up there are always three red error signs come up a couple of minutes later telling me that there is an error on disk controller something or other. It's done this ever since I built the machine. I don't take any notice. Everything works OK so I ignore it.

If things were going wrong then, yes, I would take heed but not so far.

Seems that it only shows whilst in safe mode. As Brian has said if it ain't broke don't fix it.
