Has anybody tried the above strange-sounding anti-virus software?
My mate's just got it free with a laptop but doesn't know if it's worth loading.

Yes, it's good. Microsoft gave it away as a free 12 month trial a while ago. I was quite pleased with it but I reverted to AVG when I had to pay.

Its' predecessor was a freebie called InoculateIT, kept my PC virus free for a few years before they dropped it to concentrate on the commercial version.

I have used EZ antivirus for several years and to date have not had any virus problems. This could be partly due to the way that I use the Internet. I think it cost $30 to convert from the free version and it costs around $15 a year for updates. yes it cost a little but I think that it is worth it
