have a Dell 8300 machine 3000 speed
has an internal ethernet card installed as an addition to network card
could anyone tell me what connection cable do i need between a standard filter connected to BT socket and the modem socket
any thought about installation
have a USB ASDL working fine

Ethernet and network card are the same. I suspect you have two sockets at the rear of the pc - (1) an RJ45 socket for the network adapter and (2) a smaller RJ11 socket to connect the internal modem to the phone line, which has nothing to do with your ADSL broadband service.

If you want to connect to the broadband service by ethernet instead of USB, you need either an ADSL modem with an ethernet connection or a router with built-in ADSL modem.
