Ethernet fault

I have just bought a second hand pc and i'm having problems connecting to the internet.

All other laptops and pcs are connecting fine, but this second hand one I have is not automatically connecting via ethernet.

The pc connects fine when I use a wireless usb fob, connecting to my wireless router, but now I have moved it to another room with an ethernet port I can't connect fully to the net.

It connects to the router, but does not connect to the net.

Can someone please give me some advice.

Check the TCIP settings on your other computers, and then set the new one to the same scheme.

It may have old, wrong settings from it's previous usage.
