I have in Device Manger an icon for an Ethernet Controller. I have no idea what it is or where it came from and it is not installed properly. When I delete windows tries to reload it with out any success what is it?

It is an onboard ethernet adaptor which you can use for networking, it's hardware, part of your motherboard. You only need it working for networking and/or sharing the internet between computers. To get it working you will have to install appropriate drivers. If you don't intend to use it just ignore it.

No problem, you're welcome, my pleasure!!

Just out of curiosity -- are you from an inner-city environment?
