Why am I continually getting error notices thus:

"The request has exceeded the allowable time limit Tag: CFQUERY

It goes on a lot longer than I have quoted but to put the full message in would exceed the allowable space.

This was happening a few weeks ago, seemed to cure itself after FE said he'd tweaked something, now it's back worse then ever.

This most irritating thing is that going back a page and trying again, it works but only after that notice has appeared. Trying to do anything whilst the page is stuck achieves nothing.

Sorry about the click here's. They only refer to this site.

PCADVISOR are aware of the problems

  €dstowe 07:38 19 Jul 05

Unfortunately they don't seem to be fixing it. Perhaps the FE could give whatever it is another tweak:-)

The more we talk about the 'wonders of the web'
the more confused I get.

One would have thought that if €dstowe was getting these messages as a PCA site problem, we would all be getting them - but I have not - so far.
A bit slow at times perhaps - but with potentially 160,000 of us trawling through not at all surprising

  jack 09:11 19 Jul 05

A thought - perhaps it is not PCA site overall
Perhaps it is a 'routing' problem
Do you have an alternative ISP to try.

Good morning Ed; I see that you are an early riser.

I have been back from holiday a week now, and like jack, find it very slow at times, but no other problems.

PCA are aware of the problem. It appears to be a server problem and will be fixed soon, if not allready fixed

I've just had 20 min when I just couldn't get onto the site, perhaps it was being fixed at the time.

I have found that if it appears to be running 'slow' then if I come right out ie log out then go back in it seems to reset something and the speed is back to normal.
