"Errors logged to Java console"

.... So says Internetfrog when I run it!

The test result puts ??? in the download position but gives a reasonable figure for upload.

I have no trouble running ZDNet speed test, showing a normal 950-ish out of a possible 1000.

Have updated Java from Sun Systems site, rebooted verified, and run CCleaner, but still this error.

Its not a critical matter, everything else works
Web browsing is normal, downloads are behaving and so on.
Using XP Pro, Aol(silver)

I like Internetfrog - its eyes still follow my mouse!

just had a quick read through Google and no definate answer for you im afraid.
However have you tried uninstalling your Java and trying a slightly older version.

Just ran the speed check in Opera and was OK. Running it using AOL and get the same error.

This is the error I get in AOL,

No, I updated Java without problems before starting this thread.
Will give reinstallaton a try later today

I'm baffled by so much information and procedural gubbins.
Interesting that the problem doesn't occur using Opera?

Frankly, rather than introduce something like Opera to a system which otherwise is working very smoothly, is a path I won't follow for the sake of seeing internetfrog produce a result. As I said ZD Net and other speed test progs work, and the frog still rolls his eyes.

I will return to this later today.

It's also working in IE7. Must be an AOL thing.

  Diemmess 15:39 27 Jul 07

<It's also working in IE7.>

The penny dropped. I tried the IE approach (almost a foreign country to me) and Lo! it worked.

It is an Aol thing.
A pity, but a problem solved and thank you for your input.

By the way, (AolSilver)
Upload speed 239kbps
Download speed 991kbps
