ERROR 10050 is a standard error message, that basically means that as far as the computer is concerned, the network is down (because it can't get any response from the server).

However, although it may well be that the BT mail server was not responding at the time, it may well be due to other reasons. Examples include comms being blocked by firewalls, such as ZoneAlarm, or corrupted networking files.

Can you send/receive on OE at the same time that you cannot send/receive using Incredimail? If so, this indicates that the BT mail server is OK, as is the Windows networking.

This then leaves Incredimail or a firewall as the culprit.

If you have a firewall, ensure that Incredimail is permitted to access the Web. If you have recently uninstalled ZoneAlarm, check that the TrueVector process is not still running (press Ctrl-Alt-Del and look at the processes tab).

Finally, simply uninstalling then reinstalling Incredimail may well fix it.

Personally, I won't have Incredimail anywhere near my PCs - it may well be pretty and cute, but it has caused no end of problems on every single PC that I have installed it on. I also know of several PCs where it runs perfectly well - very peculiar.
