Error message re. lsass.exe???

Hello, I hope someone can help...

I keep getting an error message which doesn't really mean anything to me...

The system process 'c:\windows\system32\lsass.exe' has terminated unexpectedly...

What does thios mean & why does it keep happeneing?

I'm running WinXP Pro (need any more info - just ask ;o) )

Try this to prevent the reboot you need to go to the startmenu down to the left and start the "Run". In the field you type: Shutdown -a ,then the button "OK"....
and you computer will override the crash and stop the reboot procedure

Just for everyones info... I sorted this problem out by downloading the 'stinger' program from here: click here

It turns out I have a 'W32/Sdbot.worm.gen.j virus' infestation which Norton had failed to detect.

Well worth downloading even if you aren't having system problem!
