Error message: Error: listener Bind failed'cNett::kstatusbindfailure'!

I have Windows 7.

A particular software I have is incompatible with Windows 7, but I have been able to install it with a workaround. Until recently. Although the software appears to install, I can find no trace of it when trying to run it.

I have presumed the problem lay with the CD/PC. I have just discovered the programe can be run directly from the internet, even on Windows 7. I have installed the device driver from the internet. Hurray! I assumed my problem would be solved. Not so.

The program requires an accessory 'IOM finger sensor' which I have. (The program is a meditation type one). I still cannot run it.

I have found an error message in the device log: Error: listener Bind failed'cNett::kstatusbindfailure'! It is repeated in the log 1000's of times! I can see the IOM thingy in add/remove prog and have tried to uninstall it, but it requires me to log on as administrator - always a problem when I get this message.

Can anyone guide me in the right direction to a solution please?
