Error message

When I close IE or Mozilla or even Outlook Express I get an error message. The instruction at (then gives an address which is different for each app) referenced memory at 0x00000ba0. The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program.

The memory reference is the same every time.
I have defragged, run check disc and spybot, still I get the message.
Any ideas please

I am fed up with getting the error message "The instruction at 0x0ld7efa9 referenced memory at
0x00000ba0. The memory could not be read.Click OK to terminate programme"

On the task bar the .exe is shown for the programme I am trying to closee, so I assume something in the closing sequence is not working.

When I took the problem to the manufacturer / supplierwhich is Novatech they grinned and said you need to format your hard drive. It seems a hammer to crack a wallnut. Anyone any ideas please.
