Error Deleting File

  modumus 21:27 03 May 03

Im trying to delete a media file but when i try and delete it an error message appears:

"cannot delete File A: it is being used by another person or program"

But i think it has more to do with the file being corrupt, as im not using it while trying to delete!

Any help please???????

Try deleting it in Safe Mode.

To get into Safe Mode reboot your 'puter and before the Windows screens appear keep tapping F8. You will be presented with a menu - select Safe Mode.

Oh, and when presented with the option, log in as Administrator.

its running, you need to do ctrl alt del and see what is running and shut it down, then you can delete it. you can shut down everything ecxept explorerand systray, its probably added itself to the start up folder. this is likley to be a program file desguised as a media file ( dialer ).
