Hi,
I can't get the drivers to install for the USB VoIP Phone, when I connect the the phonevia the USB. The hardware wizard runs and after a while it display's the following error message...
"The driver installation file is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was written for windows 95 or later." > this could not be true about win 95 etc because it installs on 3 desktop pc running XP pro and, home>
I am running XP home SP2 can't install a USB VoIP phone on my Vaio Sony laptop. this is a windows driver but when the phene is pluged in it fails to install.
I have used several installation methods including choosing the driver myself, letting it search it's self, it finds the drivers but comes back with the above error and, the downloaded drivers from micrisoft update.I get Installation Failure

Old INF file stuck on your Vaio.

Find the inf file for the phone and rename it to .old
then try to reinstall the phone.
