Erasing data from rw disk

Hi to all,
How do I erase data from a rw cd?
Iknow when have done floopys have right clicked and clicked on format, but not able to on the cd drive which has the rw cd in.
have i got to use software like nero to erase the disk.

Not so much Nero, as InCD. If you have InCD installed and running (often it will auto-run when you insert the appropriate disc), right-clicking will give you options for "InCD Erase" or "InCD Format" - both will wipe the disc.

Hi Damn machine,
your advise sorted the problem in that i can remember erasing and formating a disc like it before when right clicking the drive then erase disc.

I recently went in to msconfig and disabled incd trying to cut down on programs running in the background because was having problems with defrag.

Anyway enabled it and is working again.
