Epson SX515 Problem

Hi I have just bought the above printer and have set it to print via my network (using a Linksys WAG160n Router) All works as it should until I shut down my computer. When I restart, which could be the following day I have lost connection with the printer (this is true of my laptop as well as my desktop PC) Although I can still access the Internet etc. I have noticed that if I turn off the router and turn it back on again the connection is restored. I have found that this may be an Ip address problem and that assigning a static Ip address may work but can anyone confirm this and if so how do I do this

right click the network places and highlight the device then right click and properties. Tick in the box - use the following ip address then enter. You can see what ip range your router is using by running a command prompt and typing IP config /all. eg my router uses 192.168.1.1 and my main pc is on 1.2 no. 2 pc is on 1.3 and any others that go on periodically get 1.4 =- 1.5 etc.
