Epson stylus 44ux

When trying to print, the ink cartridges keep banging against the right hand side of the printer. Error message comes onto the screen.
Computer shop said they couldn't mend it, it would be cheaper to buy a new one. Seems a waste. Any way I can mend it myself please?

cartridge drive belt slipped.

Time to be a little rough with it (what have you got to lose?)

Just drag the catridges across to the left a little, you will feel to belt "click" a few times.

Umm..... mending depends why the carts are 'banging' about.

If despite that it sill prints why worry.
Is it possible a rubber 'buffer' has fallen off.
This is the 'park' end so the carts normally live there.
But the shop are right with labour costs running
at £45 p.h. and the almost certain fact that no spares are available a new one is the best route

Go on spoil your self.

You could try putting it in to the change cartridge position and then moving it back 2 or 3 clicks dont go to much or it may bang both sides.dont force it and be heavy handed or you could do more harm than good but it will need a bit of persuading to move.
