Epson printer turns itself off

Hi, I've got Photo 890, new black cart a couple of weeks ago and no problems whatsoever. Today it was moved three feet to a new position and now when I turn it on, the red light (normally to tell you the ink is out, or to feed the paper through)comes on, it pushes a blank page out then turns off.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled (several times)and tried it on an LPT1 port instead of USB, but no good. It was fine for printing before I moved it.

Does anyone have any suggestions please? I also moved my 1290, and that isn't throwing a tantrum!

I've got XP

I've now replaced the black cart with an Epson one and get the message 'Remove any foreign object from inside the printer' - never seen that message before.
