Epson printer not printing

  martinold 11:47 08 Dec 04

My Epson Stylus Color 880 is connected to both my laptop and PC. It prints perfectly from my PC (USB connection).

However, recently, I am having a problem with printing from my laptop (parallel connection).

The printing boxes all come up normally, and the printing process appears to be completely followed, with the exception of ink going onto paper!

When turning on the laptop, the printer 'carriage return' motors, as it always has done, appearing to indicate a signal from laptop to printer.

At the moment all that comes to mind is
a/ cable remove/reconnect/replace.
b/ driver /remove/reinstall.
having done this run another print job and go to start/ printersand faxes/click on the printer/
make sure it is set to default. Double click to open the file and see what is happening there, you can right click to magage the operation

I've had this in the past on a printer that was swapped between PCs. Check the connectors. I found one pin was loose and had pushed back into the plug instead of into its socket.
