Epson Picturemate 500- ink absorbing pad

  eddiemoose 21:07 06 Jan 11

When printer is switched on error message is displayed."The pad that absorbs ink during head cleaning has become saturated" I believe that these pads can be cleaned/dried and re-used. Does anyone know how to remove them? and do you have to re-set any counters? I have checked Epson problem site which isnt very helpful.

To reset the counter in your Epson printer you can download the Epson SSC Service Utility at click here. The web page comes up in Russian, but if you click on the "Epson C SIC utility" option at the top of the list on the right hand side of the web page you can then choose the "English version". This programme will allow you to reset the counters on your printer.

To search for a free Service Manual for your printer try click here.

Hope this helps, Peter.
