Epson Perfection 2400 Photo Scanner - Help

  Cloggsy 13:10 25 Apr 05

Hello all,

I recently updated my Win2000 OS (to SP4?) This was to enable me to operate my new USB2.0 hub - which the computer wouldn't recognise prior to the upgrade... Now my Epson Perfection 2400 Photo scanner won't work...

I've deleted, then re-installed the Epson smart suite software - when I start the Epson software up, I can hear the scanner start its validation sweep, then when this finishes the Epson software tells me that the scanner 'is not ready'...

Any clues?

Please help, this is driving me nuts :o(

Is the scanner powered from the USB connection or by its own power supply?

It may be an idea to try a scanner powered by USB via a connection direct to the computer rather than through a USB hub

What software are you actioning the scanner from?
Epsons own or trough a third party image editor?

You say USB2 HUB!
What have you connected this to?
The MoBo USB one I trust. - Wrong
You can only achieve USB2 via a PCI card in a spare slot I think.
Try reonnecting the scanner to the MoBo USB1.
