I have an Epson Perfection 1260 scanner but no disk. Do you know if I can down load the software and put it on a disk myself?

I have contacted Epson. They sent me a driver for downloading. Do I put this on a disk afterwards. They also said it isn't the software, I thought it was. I already have a driver on my PC for another Epson scanner will it interfear with this 1260?

The drive for the Other Scanner if no longer used woulds be better Removed, but it should still work by loading the new one. Yes Copy the Driver to a CD for safe keeping

Thank you for your reply. I am just trying this scanner out as I intend to give it away as I have Epson V350. I once had a 3170 which is still on my PC I thought maybe it might be a good idea to keep it thinking it over it might be the software I have got for the other scanners. I feel sure now it is the software. Do you think it is a good idea to get rid of the old software, or can I use it for any scanner?

Some of the software if not all of it will work with other scanner
