Epson CX3200 cartridge carridge not returning?

Hi all,

My hamster recently escaped, and had a meal out of the paper at the back of the printer, leaving shredded paper everywhere.. I didn't realise when I turned it on, and it got sucked through. I've got all the paper out, but the cartidge holder won't return right to the corner, just gets stuck about 2 inches back, just before it gets into its home in the far right... any ideas how to sort out?

Thanks!

I would try as quick stab with a vacuum cleaner crevice nozzle, probably bits of paper stuck there.

tried that, theres definately nothing in there...

Hmm, so I guess you have had a close look also at the track the carriage runs on, for any tiny bits of paper. Failing that, looks as if you might have to try a bit of DIY dismantling, or take it to a PC/Printer repair shop.

Your rogue hamster might also have acquired a taste for printer wiring - you could get Mr(or Mrs) Hamster a muzzle I suppose!

He acquired a taste for CAT5... chewed thru my 20m cable!!! Took 2 hours to untack and relay a new one :(
