Epson 600 stylus colour printer problem

  Bruz 08:58 31 Oct 06

My old epson 600 stylus colour printer has started playing up. It refuses to print more than 12 lines of text. It then times out.
Any one got any ideas or does it go in the bin?

Hi, bin it - have lots of fun with a new one, so cheap these days.

Bruz, what do you mean by "it times out"?
Has it been working OK untill now?

Try uninstalling it then use a registry cleaner to get rid of any corrupted crap, followed by a fresh install. UNPLUG it when you start to reinstall, until told to plug it in. I had to do the same to my Epson Photo 830U a couple of days ago. It now works perfectly again.

Bruz: You are very fortunate that it is still working. I had an Epson 600 a good few years ago, and it gave up the ghost long since.

Anyway, I do hope you are able to sort it out.

Thanks one and all for your input, will do as advised Andsome. In reply to Pamy when it stops it counts down the seconds on the faul trip and then stops. I is true to it's self it only prints 12 lines of text. I gave this printer to a friend and it failed while her Grand Children were using it,it could have picked up some garbage off the net. I have to clean her hard drive down after they have used it so I will clean out the registry as well this time.
Thanks for all your input.
