Entering domain name

I have a website which when I enter www.I get the
page not available page.If I do not enter www. the
site loads up ok.Any ideas

You have to have a Domain name in order to get an www. address.

If your website is hosted on your ISP then you will have to use http://

The main difference is that a www. points to a specific TCP/IP address.

Where are you hosting your website, is it on your won PC?

If you are saying you have purchased a Domain name which is being hosted by an ISP then yes you should be able to use www if you can't get at your domain name then they aren't doing their job properly and you need it sorting.

If you say you have webspace provided by your ISP then no you will never be able to type in www

When you get to your web site what is the exact URL (copy and paste to here)in the IE Address box?
