Encoding in IE6 ?

I've just been on a forum that I use quite a bit, and the Home page is wrong/old.
Whilst looking into the VIEW drop down, I see the 'Encoding' list, and noted that it was set to 'Western European - ISO'.
My question WAS going to be "should it be set to 'Western European - Windows'".
Now i'm on PCA, I see that the encoding is set to 'Uniicade UTF8'.

So,,,, i'm guessing that the 'Encoding' is down to the writer of the site that we look at ?

Is that right ?

thanks for reading,,,,,,,,,

Why are you still using IE6? We're up to version 8 now.
