Emergency! Good alternative to Epson R285/R220?

  buel 19 Feb 13

Hi, Basically Im halfway through printing a load of CDs for my musician friend and my R285 has let me down (I have a thread currently running) and need to buy a similar printer straight away online.

Please can I ask for the best alternative being as I dont think the R285 is available anymore?

PS- To make an obvious point- I need to print CDs/DVDs.

Thank you.

You could try the new Epson Expression range. I've just got an Epson Expression Photo XP-750, but Epson do Epson Expression Home, Epson Expression Photo & Epson Expression Premium for you to choose from.

One small problem at the moment is that as the range is new it is difficult to get compatible cartridges.

Ah I see.

Well what about any epson printers that are as good as R285 that print CDs and DVDs?

The Epson Stylus Photo P50 is the nearest to your R285 that I know of.

Sadly, not yet apparently for my Epson Expression Photo XP-750 yet, perhaps comming soon?

Agree the Expression XP 250 may not as yet have compatable however it does replace the P50

I purchased mine from pixmania an excellant machine with smaller footprint
