emails not being sent

Recently I have had the following message when trying to send/receive emails:

The host 'POP3.wanadoo.co.uk' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'pop.wanadoo.co.uk', Server: 'POP3.wanadoo.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

I ahve checked a couple of sites and have ensured the settings are as recommended, but the error reoccurs. Any Ideas out there that I might try?

Make sure the my server requires authentication box is ticked.Look in /tools/accounts/mail/properties/servers

Set the pop server in your account settings as 'pop.wanadoo.co.uk', not 'pop3.wanadoo.co.uk.' Leave out the apostrophes.
