my father has given me a disc containing his emails this is stored in dbx format my computer xp doesn't seem able to read this file type? any help please

Download DBXtract click here. This little utility doesn't install, but rather runs from the .exe file. If you put it into a folder, double click on Dbxtract.exe and it will ask you what dbx file you want to extract, and where to put the extracted files. The files are extracted as .eml. Double-clicking the .eml files will open them in Outlook Express. The only drawbacks are that attachments aren't included, and you will extract all the emails included in the selected dbx file.
