using xp pro home with outlook express, I have just relied to a friends email and in the to box it had the following,
*(dot)*(dot)*******(at)ntlworld(dot)com,
the * is just me hiding my friends name,
I have never seen it done this way, ie the (dot) and (at), my friend received the email but I am just curious about the way oe has done this, can anybody explain please, thanks

You enter this information in the e-mail account properties box. It is usually optional when you set up an account and is normally left blank whereon it defaults to the original senders e-mail account.

Go to Tools>Accounts, select your e-mail account and check Properties tab.
