email problem from website

I have recently set up a website using heart internet and have activated email forwarding to forward emails and form submissions direct to my inbox at home, rather than having to log in to heart and collect them. I then sent an email to my [email protected] and a form submission to see if it worked.
The problem is that I cant now get my emails - I use thunderbird but it gives an error message

An error occurred with the POP3 mail server.
Mail server pop3.blueyonder.co.uk responded:

which tells me nothing useful.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled thunderbird to no avail, tried to use outlook express, and lo and behold there were the 2 trial messages forwarded from heart, but I cant get any normal emails. I guess that somewhere a setting has been altered, but I have no idea what. Can anyone help please?

I'm not surprised that you are receving no mail from pop3.yourdomain.co.uk

The server setting for inbound mail should be: mail.yourdomain.co.uk
