email password being rejected

Hello

I have been downloading my email as normal, but now my password is being rejected.

I am never normaly asked for my password.

This is the error message I am getting:

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'pop.cegetel.net', Server: 'pop.cegetel.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [SYS/PERM] System I/O error. Administrator, check server log for details.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

Can anyone help me out on this please.

I have had a similar problem at times which seems to have been solved by deleting my password and re-entering it. Heaven knows why it worked but it did - and I didn't change my password!

It may be worth investigating your firewall. I have had a similar problem with Outlook Express and ZoneAlarm. Deleteing the rules and re-creating them seem to resolve the problem.
