Email failure notices

I am receiving delivery failure email notifications with my domain name but different users - what could be the reason for this?

system=windows XP sp2 - outlook express

Is an e-mail getting through or just some failing?

If all then maybe incorrect outgoing settings or server problems.

If just some then their servers may be using filters that are incorrectly marking your emails as spam.

Are these e-mails you have sent or just failure notices you are receiving and know nothing about the original e-mail.

These are not emails I have sent - they are failure notices for which I know nothing about.
As I say,the domain name is mine but the front end user names have nothing to do with me?

in that case someone you know who has your e mail in their address book has become infcted by a virus and is mailing out as all people in that pc's address book and because your e mail is genuine you get the bounce.

am I at risk - what action should I take

none it will fade eventually when the infected pc owner twigs it, there is no risk to you as long as you do not open the bounced mail and just delete.
