Email Clients - formatting

  Air_Man 11:58 31 Aug 05

I am about to begin an email newsletter and have got the services of a company that allows me to send multi-part emails - HTML and plain text.

I am concerned though that some email clients other than Outlook and Outlook Express may not revert to the plain text mail and try (and fail) to correctly display the HTML version (Hotmail seems to do this).

Can anyone suggest how I can get round this problem or do I just need to get my hands on as many email clients as possible to test, test & test again?

Thx in advance.

Is to send only plain text emails, with a link to a nicely formatted HTML page advertising your product or service. A lot of users don't like HTML email and regard it as spam. Total bandwidth usage is greatly reduced by this method.

Good point Persala. I might give this a go.
