Dear Customer,

As part of our ongoing service improvements, we regularly review usage
levels on our network.

YOUR ACCOUNT USAGE
In a recent review, we noticed that your account has been used with
more than one online connection being made at the same time.
Unfortunately, such 'concurrent use' is in breach of paragraph 10.1(g)
of our Terms & Conditions. To review these, please go to

We are sorry to say that, if your account continues to be used in this
way, we reserve the right to suspend your account without further
notice.

CONSIDER PASSWORD CHANGE
It may be that your account is being used by people other than
yourself. As a precautionary measure, we strongly recommend that you
change your password. To do this, please go to
If you feel you need to use more than one connection at any one time,
perhaps an extra account would be useful. You can easily sign up for an
extra account at click here>

PLEASE CHECK YOUR BT YAHOO! INTERNET EMAIL
Please note that all messages to you about this issue will be sent to
this email address, the primary email address for your BT Yahoo!
Internet account. Please make sure you check this email account for
updates.

HELP
If you have any questions about our 'concurrent use' policy, or the
reasons why your account may be affected, please contact the BT Yahoo!
team at click here>

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

I think they are trying to tell you that more than 1 computer is dialling into his account at the same time, and they may be concerned that someone else is accessing his account, maybe from another house/phone number and this braches their t&c's which say you should only have 1 connection.

They are suggesting that he changes his password in case anyone has gotten hold of his dial up deatils and are using his account.

Does he connect from different pc's connected to a different phone number?

thats the thing, he only has the one p.c and one phone line, so a bit concerning indeed, thanks for the reply BTW

As it is PAYG there is no limit to the usage and I would suspect that there is a dialer installed on his computer. He needs to go to the BT website and sign up for an online bill so that he can check his usage.click here

I would also check for a dialer click here and click here
